Pasko 2010

it was full of fun (you can clearly interpret by just looking at our pictures above)! i think the best so far we've had.
it was indeed a "Maligayang Pasko" celebration.
nagsimula sa simpleng plano, na akala mo ay hindi matutuloy. everybody was enthusiastic at first pero natahimik as the day of celebration gets nearer. thanks to dante for keeping eveybody holding on to our commitment na ituloy ang simple celebration ng Pasko as most of the Adiks are away sa aming loved ones kaya this gathering will definitely ease the "pain" of spending this normally a celebration with people dear to us.

and then dumating ang araw na iyon everyone was made sure na ang bawat contribution sa food and preparations ay ready na. days before that, nagkaroon ng bunutan for "monito-monita". so gifts at the table in front of the "stage" were overflowing, kasama na ang para sa kids. yeah, may mga kids because this is definitely for them! kaya the respective families were invited. and this party was made sure na matuloy because of our friends (Ren, Marc  and Ricky) na kasama ang mga respective families nila. syempre para na rin sa bonding namin with them. kulang lang kami ng isa, si Bien...Siya ay masayang kasama ang kanyang pamilya sa Pilipinas. he could have added to the laughter kung kasama rin namin sya. pero mas masaya sya now. hehehe

Hinahanap-hanap pag-ibig mo
At kahit wala ka na
Nangangarap at umaasa pa rin ako
Muling makita ka at makasama ka
Sa araw ng Pasko..."

Chris Venter
what made the night more special was the presence of the Adiks' "adopted" friend, Chris Venter. he graced our gathering to celebate with us.
the party started with a prayer from ricky, a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for everything we are so blessed with looking back at year 2010....lalo pa at may announcement of a generous gift from our company earlier that afternoon! (confidential daw kung "ano" at "gaano" heheheh). then there were special numbers which we want everyone to be represented lalo na ang mga families. kaya aligaga to find a song to sing sa WOW karaoke courtesy of Matt.

Capturing the moments
then there were games from gamemaster Ricky! mawawala ba ang all time favorite - Pinoyyyyyy Henyo!? what made it funnier ay ang mask na dapat gamitin para holder ng pahuhulaan na salita. Marc needed to explain to Chris bakit kami naghahagalpakan sa tawa! nosebleed nga raw si marc! hehehe. "kalabaw", "karayom", "kambing", "fried rice", "bubble gum" were just among the words to guess by the partners. ang hirap huh! the game was eventually won by irwin and ka romy, unbeatable with a time of 1:14 mins.

then it was followed by our favorite na "lafangan naaaa!!!". thanks to tserman raoul who set the buffet table na parang pina "cater". everyone brought food for everybody na pagsalu saluhan. panalo lahat, walang itulak kabigin! hehehe, lahat masarap!

Buffalo wings!
there was another game which brought the house down! gulong kami sa katatawa. two teams were to compete with a stocking on our head with ball at the end of it para itumba ang series of water bottles...relay kumbaga. ang hirap huh! hagalpakan sa tawa when it was the turn of two "biggies" in each group, raoul and chris venter (it was really nice seeing him na game na game sa mga kalokohan namin! pero mas loko pala sya dahil sya ang pinakamadaya! sipain b nman ang lahat ng water bottle when he realized it was difficult to do it without cheating!) pero in the end, kahit na walang prize for the winning team, hindi kami makahinga s katatawa! another highlight!

i volunteered to render a song number beforehand as part of the proram pero at the back of mind, i want to do something more special than that kasi d naman ako magaling kumanta. so when i was called to sing, i actually did start singing ...pero little din they know that i will just be singing on the background kasi i was to show a special video i prepared about our group! "lights off! lights off!" daw ang sigaw nila....and so we did. di ko naisip yun pero it added impact of that video to us (yeah, including me). everybody was shouting on every photo shown on the video. better check the video http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1751288424855 it is my gift to everyone for the gift of friendship i share with them. thanks guys!

and then came the announcement of monito-monita. each one has to explain bakit yun ang napili nyang gift for his monito. i will no longer enumerate ang bawat gift ccoz some are for adults only! hahahha. but it was definitely a shining moment of the night as it shows gaano namin kakilala ang bawat isa. isipin mo ba naman kung ano ang gift para kay shiela (ren's wife) or pops (marc's) or weng (ricky's) . lalo siguro dumugo ang utak ng nakabunot kay tserman raoul! hehehehe. poor ricky. what caused the laughter is before buksan ang gift ay kanya kanyang hula kung ano ang laman, coming out with crazy ideas! hahaaha. at ang nakakatawa rin, alam ni tserman rAoul kung saan ito nabili! hehehehe.

"sana ngayong pasko...."

our wish...alam ko sa puso ng bawat isa ay may hiling para sa Paskong ito...Dante gave his wishes for everyone of us in a poetry form...

di man namin kasama ang kanya kanya naming pamilya, this celebration definitely filled up the emptiness we feel for not being with our families to celebrate during the noche buena.

...it may be celebrating it again together in the years to come, or maybe pailan ilan na lang ang maiiwan sa Tasnee sa susunod. pero the night of 22 December 2010 was filled with laughter and happiness away from home because we made it special, we joined together, we gave importance to our bond as friends and as a family here in Jubail.

to all of you....thank you... tenchu!
maligayang pasko....

Hehehee…

A Prayer for Healing

A close friend of mine is sick...and i literally mean she's seriously sick. She has been diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer 3 weeks ago. there is already a big lump (size of a fist) inside her which needs to be immediately removed.

it pains me to hear that. you dont know that pain until it happens to someone dear to you...and you wish that it is just easy and healing will soon be there...but it is not.

she went through the operation last week for the removal of lumps. through the process, she went critical as her hemoglobin went down to very low level, so blood transfusion was required. after the operation. she was advised to go through 6 sessions of chemotherapy.

judie is a jolly person, a very responsible daughter who looked after her mother and family. an unselfish person....but now, she's afraid...she feels helpless...

i offer a prayer for your healing and requesting God to free you from any pain and hardships as you go through this. i also pray that He leads you where financial needs will be provided. in all these, we know that our strength no matter how strong is nothing. we know that our finances no matter how huge is useless. and we know that no matter how knowledgable we are, our intellect is of no help.

we put our faith in His will and acknowledge that only Him is the Great Healer....

"Jesus, You are the Son of the Living God. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Yes Lord, you are the source of my life. Therefore healing is with you more than with any one else."

"There is salvation in no one else" (Acts 4:12)

And worse, in an interview the DOT Secretary said, "There are similarities, pero sa pagkakaalam ko...sa atin mas makulay...". ahahahhaa, jinustify pa! parang walang alam, as if they're taking it lightly!

the people giving comments at internet sites are generally disappointed sa isyu na ito, pero may ilan rin na parang they look at the lambasting of DOT as paninira lang at walang maitutulong,

So itigil na yang panghahatak sa DOT logo and move on. If you have better ideas then send your suggestions at least mas makakatulong pa yun kesa sa mga walang kuwentang panlalait
"

napaisip ako....pero hindi iyon ang punto na ito'y isip talangka. its about professionalism, it is about our image, its about our own reputation that we want to improve...wagtayo basta tanggap lang ng tanggap, we should be giving our opinion sa mga mali para it will not happen again next time.

i did not vote for PNoy, but i respected the people's choice....with high hope that he will be the "better President" we have been wishing for....
sana lang...sana nga lang...

on a lighter note, ang Pinoy nga naman, ang Pinoy ay magaling sa pag convert ng problema sa isang katatawanan....try nyo ito for those who have Facebook account:

thanks to Manila Boy, i have linked some parts of his post.
